I have some incredible news to share. My Easter crochet patterns have officially made their way into the pages of Simply Crochet magazine! Issue 160 of this internationally recognized publication features four of my festive amigurumi designs: a bunny, a chick, a fox, and a lamb.
As a crochet designer, this is a milestone I have dreamed about for years. Simply Crochet is one of the most respected craft magazines in the world. Seeing my work in print alongside such talented designers feels like a beautiful validation of my creative journey.
Craft magazines in the world, and to see my patterns in print, alongside so many talented designers, feels like a huge milestone in my creative journey.
You might wonder how an independent designer’s work ends up in a major global publication. Believe it or not, it all started with something incredibly simple: a cold email.
I reached out to the magazine’s editor to introduce myself and share my passion for designing beginner-friendly amigurumi. I included photos of my favorite designs and explained why I thought they would resonate with their readers. To my delight, they loved the concepts and selected four of my Easter animal crochet patterns for a full feature. This experience reminded me that sometimes the only thing standing between you and a massive opportunity is the courage to hit "send."
Being included in Simply Crochet is more than just a highlight for my portfolio. It means that my designs are now reaching thousands of enthusiasts across the globe.
International Reach: Readers from London to New York and Sydney are now seeing and stitching these designs.
Designer Credibility: A magazine feature establishes trust and helps new makers discover the Simply Hooked community.
Global Connection: There is a profound joy in knowing that these little handmade animals are being created in homes all over the world.
The four patterns chosen for this issue are part of my signature Easter collection. Each one is designed to be quick, beginner-friendly, and full of seasonal personality. They are perfect for Easter baskets, spring home decor, or as high-demand items for your next craft market.
The Bunny Crochet Pattern: A soft, squishy classic that is the quintessential addition to any Easter basket.
The Chick Crochet Pattern: This bright and cheerful little bird is a fast project that adds a pop of sunshine to your spring display.
The Fox Crochet Pattern: A playful woodland twist on traditional Easter themes, offering year-round cuteness.
The Lamb Crochet Pattern: Cozy and sweet, this lamb is a beautiful nod to traditional springtime imagery.
Each pattern is written in clear U.S. crochet terms and includes step-by-step instructions with photos to guide you through every round.
This experience taught me a vital lesson: take the leap. If I had waited until I felt "ready" or perfectly established, I might have missed this window entirely. Whether you are a fellow designer, an entrepreneur, or a hobbyist with a big dream, remember that amazing things happen when you put yourself out there.
If you are looking to add a handmade touch to your holiday, these patterns are a wonderful place to start. Imagine filling a child's basket with handmade chicks and bunnies instead of just candy; it is a gift that is thoughtful, lasting, and made with love.
Seeing my Easter crochet patterns in print was a moment I will never forget. It was a reminder that our creative dreams are worth pursuing with intention. I hope these designs bring as much joy to your hook as they have brought to mine.
